Missouri Pressed Metals, Inc

From humble beginnings in 1973, Missouri Pressed Metals, Inc. began with a 5,000 square foot building, three production presses and a full time staff of five. MO-PRESS currently employs 70 people in one strategically located manufacturing plant in the heart of the Midwest encompassing 45,000 square feet on 9 acres.

mopress3Presently, we operate 70 compacting (molding to 100t in 2) and 40 coining (sizing to 60T in 2) presses. For impregnation we utilize five complete vacuum systems with synthetic, graphite fortified, petroleum-based lubricants, food grade oils and Gulf Plastic Petroleum E. Seven controlled atmosphere sintering furnaces heat up the situation as we operate our plant 24 hours a day, five days a week.

Our in house secondary operations include:

  • Vibratory Deburring - removes the sharp edges from parts
  • Coining or Sizing - is beneficial for close dimensional control as well as densification
  • Automatic Stamping - aids the identification of parts
  • Black Oxidizing or Oil Dip Coating - is useful for corrosion resistance
  • Steam Treating - will make the surface hard, improve corrosion resistance and seal porosity
  • Oil Impregnation - makes bearings self-lubricate and is ideal for applications where lubrecation is difficult, needed frequently, or impossible.
